I think two seasons have come and faded away since I last posted. I got a job working for a major airline spent a lot of time traveling, thinking and working on finding that happiness we all search for and hope to find an abundance of. Some success has been found as well as some heart break. Music is still a major part of my life on tuesday I saw St Vincent for the 2nd time in 6 months. I started taking flight lessons last summer and still plan on being a pilot. I like to think I have a good life, a happy life for the most part but somewhere between watching the sun rise or set either from 42,000 ft or on the ground in any major city on the east coast it strikes. The sense of loneliness that won’t go away no matter how far I go or how high I fly it’s floating right along with me. I’ve learned to live with and accept this as a temporary necessity so for now I live by my mantra brought to you by Dr Thompson “I felt like a monster reincarnation of Horatio Alger, a man on the move and just sick enough to be totally confident.”
A few details:
— all the images from the site, plus special App only bonus images
—new app only galleries coming soon :-)
—It is HTML 5 based, so it will work accross many different phones, not just iphones
—Works better with WiFi than from the basement of your house or in a tunnel
—I’ll do the math for ya, $10 a year, is only 83 cents a month, or just over 2.5 cents a day… not much to help Me In My Place grow and shoot more women in different areas :-)

This Lana Del Ray bullshit is getting annoying she was overhyped and yes it got me curious but her album sucked balls why are we still obsessing over her? Oh yeah she’s attractive. So is St Vincent and Grimes and they actually make good music. Goddamnit America when will your musical tastes get better??? Sharon Van Etten makes good music but she’s not attractive so she’s ignored. Enough of my rant for now I’m going to smack shit with my dick.
These are in no specific order I just feel that they are some of the years best songs that reflect the world we live in as it is right now or they’re simply awesome.

This weekend I’m going to Moogfest in Asheville NC with my best friend. I should have tons of fun booze, music and all around general bad behavior will take over this weekend. I’ll try and post stuff throughout the weekend like reviews of concerts.
Artist: M83
Album: Hurry Up We’re Dreaming
The best album of the year I will honestly be surprised if anything else released this year even comes close to being half as good as this record is. it’s 2011 but this record has longevity and will be a contender for album of the decade it’s 100% perfect. I’m completely shocked by how unprepared for this album I was it took me by surprise how fantastic it was. I’ve always enjoyed M83 even loved two of his earlier albums but this is a career defining record in every sense of the word from the opening lines of the intro to the closing notes of the outro. This is a musical being thats life plays out inside your head. Take everything important about life all turn into music equally as important and then cram an entire life’s worth of importance into 1 double disc album and this is what you get.
Zola jesus is fantastic. She becomes a mood an ambiance. Her music is haunting and bone chilling like a seance where spirit materialize and taunt you. If you listen to her the music comes alive in the room that is filled with it you can almost watch it bounce around the room while it disturbs the natural order of things. This is something special but you must be prepared and ready to listen to her otherwise she will just overpower you forcing you to run and hide. If you give her entire discography a listen you won’t be disappointed she comes highly recommended for a reason.
Go buy Strange Mercy by St Vincent it’s the best album of the last month or so.
